GBTECH 3 × 250 mm carbon fiber solid rod is a solid round composite rod with a matte surface appearance. The 250 mm format supplies one uninterrupted length for short components or sample evaluation. It is useful when the designer needs a compact stock length or several shorter pieces.
The solid round profile is typically pultruded, with fibers running along the length of the rod. It is suitable for small-diameter support, positioning, guiding and reinforcement applications where a hollow tube is not required. The solid construction offers a continuous round section, while the matte surface provides a consistent appearance for both functional and visible parts.

Choose this length for short components or several shorter pieces, allowing for saw kerf and end finishing.
Potential uses to evaluate include model support rods, medical positioning rods, guide rods, and reinforcement struts. These are design directions, not certified load-bearing applications.
Confirm the actual diameter and tolerance before choosing fittings, clamps or inserts.
Use reinforcement or load-spreading interfaces where the joint design requires them.
Use tooling and dust control suitable for carbon-fiber composites. Protect nearby electronics from conductive dust, finish cut edges as required, and validate bonded, clamped or fastened connections before use.
The base material offers a theoretical heat resistance of up to 150°C. For long-term use, GBTECH recommends a maximum continuous service temperature of 120°C. Long-term service above 120°C is not recommended.
This recommendation does not replace duty-cycle validation. Confirm the actual exposure duration, load, safety margin and environmental conditions for the intended application.
Fiber orientation, resin, unsupported length and joint details determine suitability. Do not infer a certified strength or stiffness value from diameter alone.
Why select a solid carbon fiber rod instead of a tube?
A solid rod provides a continuous round section for small-diameter support, positioning, guiding or reinforcement. It may be preferred where a hollow bore is not needed. It is not a certified load-bearing component unless confirmed for the specific application.
How is diameter specified?
Diameter is normally specified as the outer diameter of the round rod. A wide diameter range may be available. Actual diameter and tolerance must be confirmed with GBTECH.
Can it be cut to length?
Yes. The 250 mm stock length can be used as a compact stock item or cut further. Calculate usable lengths after allowing for kerf, end trimming and finishing.
What is the recommended long-term service temperature?
The base material offers a theoretical heat resistance of up to 150°C, but GBTECH recommends a maximum long-term service temperature of 120°C. Confirm duty cycle, load, exposure time and safety margin for the intended application.
